Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy

Take a journey out of your normal way of being.

What is KAP?

KAP has been shown to be effective in the treatment of depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and substance use. Clients report feeling lighter, less stuck, and less reactive.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy combines psychiatric, psychotherapeutic, and traditional or indigenous ways of making meaning out of suffering.

Heading 4

How does ketamine work?

Ketamine briefly calms the parts of ourselves that try to protect us by ruminating or obsessing as a way of preventing past threats from reoccurring in the present.

For many clients, ketamine invites an expansive, meditative state of consciousness that may facilitate a deeply reflective or even mystical experience.

How do ketamine and therapy work together?

What sets Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy apart from most Western medical approaches is an ongoing relationship between therapist and client. As a therapist, I work with my clients over time to get to know where they are feeling stuck.

We’ll collaborate to create a ritualized experience to make space for healing to emerge and then integrate what we learn into traditional therapy.

How do I get started?

I offer KAP in partnership with a medication management organization called Journey Clinical because I have found them to be trustworthy, rigorous, and affordable for clients. Contact me for more information.
